The only misfires were from a bad hammer hit

I've run about 3500 spikes through my gun so far and it has worked flawlessly. The only misfires were due to a bad hammer blow. This thing works great with 9/16" bamboo set at about 80psi! High quality nail gun. UPDATE 2/21/17: After about 5000 sweeps, the gun started to jam with the drive blade submerged. It was very common at first, but got quick to every second spike. I always oiled as recommended but it made no difference. I completely disassembled and inspected the gun but found no broken parts. The last 600 spikes went better than ever. UPDATE #2 02/27 .17: When I disassembled the gun, one of the four screws holding the bottom end cap broke off in the aluminum case (looks like there's some sort of threaded bolt-on cabinet. So I contacted Freeman through their website's contact page, I explained what I was experiencing and asked about the new aluminum case and screw, they responded by sending me a brand new unit with shipping prepaid, so send Return my used one to The only question asked was what brand of oil I used (Husky Air Tool Oil). I give 5 stars because of the customer service.
