Cheap but high quality! - Computers and Accessories

Ordered F8, F9 and F12 to replace the stock fans in the finished system. It used to be pretty quiet, but considering I use it as a media center/gaming rig I wanted it to be quiet. These are 4-pin fans that also support 3-pin headers on motherboards that don't use 4-pin headers. My motherboard had both. I've never been a fan of Noctua for their colors and reluctance to rip off blades and paint them. I ran nocs, I ran these. By ear I can tell very little difference between them. Temperatures were minimal compared to standard fans, averaging -5 degrees at idle, but it was exactly the quiet I was looking for; They worked better than expected and quietly. Cables in the Arctic don't have ferrules, which is normal given the price. The wires are very thin. So if you need aesthetics, they can be easily wrapped. Otherwise, the exposed wires are pale blue, yellow, and green. Don't be discouraged by the prices of these fans. You are quality! They just don't come with a flashy box and 12 different ways to connect/install them. Update: I've been using them for 5 months now and they're still as quiet as the day I installed them; if you are tired of them being cheap and broken within 2-3 months. The computer they run on runs 24/7 as it is also a media server, a cheaper one would have started making noise by now but no sound from these. Update 2: Purchased in 2015. It is now January 2018. . Everything is as calm as the day I received them.
