Nice package. It has everything I need and more. As a result, I did not use the switch (the wife wants it always on), the regulator and the splitter. There's even an adapter included so the power cord goes straight into the light. I did this. Then unplug the long connector from the second, and the short connector from the third. Did. The mounting hardware (I used clips instead of double sided tape) wasn't too difficult. I should have pre-drilled but I was lazy. Check out the cable management clips. I ended up using a few. A few things to note: There is no staple spacing guide. You only have to look at them. The lantern has end caps that cannot be attached, so it must be closer than you think. The connections are not small either. You'll need at least an inch and a half on each end to make room for the plug AND the power connector. I almost screwed it up (see picture). If you use clips to attach the flashlight, be aware that once inserted, it needs to be moved a little to remove it. You might want to play around with this before actually mounting it. To avoid permanently bending the clamps I think a utility knife works best. If you have a long run, you might want to buy more cable management clips.
