Review on 🎧 GoNovate G10 Wireless Earbud - Ultra Small, 5.5 Hours Playtime, Mic - iPhone/Samsung/Galaxy & More by Nathan Akers

I found these headphones after purchasing the GoNovate G9 headphones. To me, the G9 are very good wireless headphones that fit great and sound great, but they only last about 3 hours on a single charge. The G10 piqued my interest because it's labeled smaller and has a longer battery life (6 hours). After using the G10 for a few days, here are my findings and opinions: Contents: 1 small round hard case, 1 earbud, 3 ear pads, 1 charging cable, 1 manual, another earbud I bought. Sound - the sound is very good for mono headphones. Don't expect top-notch sound from it, but the bass and treble are decent and let you hear music, audiobooks or multimedia clearly. Audible Alerts - Nice clear audible alerts letting you know when the device is powering on and off. , low battery, pairing, connecting, disconnecting and reconnecting. Connection: After pairing with my phone, I was able to keep my phone in one of the front pockets or in the backpack and continue listening to music with no connection issues. Cons: Design – For me, the earbud fits my ear snugly, but since the power button is closer to the top of the earbud, I have a hard time pressing the button to play/pause music or turn it on/off is in my ear. The curvature of my ear caused the power button to be slightly locked when fitted and rotated inward for stability. A closer centered power button (like the G9) would solve this problem. Interchangeable Earbuds: The earbud comes with 3 earbuds, but they are all the same size. It would be nice if they were different sizes to fit different sized ears. It's also the first earbud I've used as the earbud was stuck when I first installed it, but it wasn't until two days later that the same earbud came loose from the earbud and stayed in my ear. I pulled it out, but was shocked to see that the pads' snug fit wasn't there after such a short time. I'll put another pillow on and will continue to check to see if it fits the earcup over time. Battery - Charge times are quick, typically under 80 minutes BUT these earbuds didn't last the 6 hours they claim. When testing audio only (MP3) and half volume, I was only able to get a maximum time of 4 hours and 40 minutes before receiving a low battery warning. Speech Clarity - I excluded this from the pros and cons because my tests also had good speech clarity. I tested the clarity of my voice with separate recordings of my conversation with the phone in the headphones and during phone calls. Playback of my recordings sounded loud and clear with no distortion. The clarity of the phone conversation was achieved both by clear voices on both sides and by the fact that the caller sometimes couldn't hear me because I was moving during the call. Overall these are good little compact earbuds with good sound but as the battery doesn't live up to the advertised time I can't give them 5 stars. I'll probably keep the G10 to myself as it does the job I need and while I wasn't planning on using it for 6 hours each time it will still serve my needs. Update: 23.08. /16: After prolonged use, I found that the same issue I initially had of ear pads slipping off occurs with all three pairs of ear pads. The glossy surface of the eartip combined with prolonged use wears down the cushion so it is no longer sealed tightly and can slip off very easily (in the ear canal in my case). All 3 pillows were used in a short time due to this issue, rendering the insert unusable even for me. I'm deducting 1 star from my original rating because of this issue. Updated: 9/2/16. Support contacted me to say they reviewed my results and appreciated feedback on future products and replaced my original earbud. I will continue to use the earbuds as a secondary as they fit my original purpose. As a side note, you can use/wear the earbud without the cushion, but for me the cushion provides extra support for stability, ensures the earbud doesn't fall out, and also helps seal the earbud for better sound quality. I'm adding 1 star to my rating to reflect customer service.
