I had a defender series for my old Motorola Razr. Many years ago I had a serious accident that affected my hands and their ability to grip objects which is why I fall ALL 20 billion times a day. The defender does his job. I swear by it. My Razr has been abused for years and would certainly be a shambles without it. The phone itself looks as new as the day I got it 3 years ago and will sell well being in such good condition.
