If up and down worked it would be a good product at a competitive price but so far it works down not up. Glad I tested it before I cut a hole in the ceiling. If it actually worked and they gave clear instructions it would probably get 4 or 5 stars. Recall issue and will be updated as more information becomes available. Update: A few days later I received an email from CGOLDENWALL letting me know that they address any issues or concerns and would like to contact them to resolve my concerns. Since no contact information was provided, Revain solved this problem for me by providing a return label and refunding the money upon receipt. If CGOLDENWALL solves my problems with their product, I would suggest doing final full functional testing before shipping the finished product. Give reliable instructions, it's a no-brainer I don't need to address the issue. If you would like a customer to work with you on a product that isn't working, rather than simply sending out a working replacement, provide a phone number or at least a direct link to a customer support chat line. UPDATE: Just been informed that CGOLDENWALL has issued me a refund minus a $91.00 restocking fee for returning their dead product on arrival. So they say they offer a one-year warranty, but if you want to return their dead product upon arrival because you're no longer sure of its quality, you can grab that privilege for $91. It's really weird because they seem to be committed to quality and customer service, but for me at least, their actions didn't match their documented intentions for this article. Rating update: I don't like giving bad reviews when it's appropriate. to fix the effect, as problems are foreseen, which I honestly think is the case now. Unfortunately, these efforts have confirmed some of my concerns about the quality of the product itself, which is why I'm upgrading my overall rating from 1 to 3 stars for the following reasons only: Recoding to match the remote control and so this may be necessary if the machine has been in use for an extended period of time stands still. I don't know what you mean by long downtime, a few hours, days, a month, but it's an issue I don't have to worry about with any of my other electronic equipment. If idling is not the root cause, then there is a quality issue in the Final Functional Verification Test (FVT) or Final Packaging Test (BPO) or both. 2) They asked what version of the manual I received and sent me their current manual in PDF format, just in case. My issue is that the manual has not been edited in any way and the product, even ordered from Revain, does not have a model number. The best thing you can do is compare the images in the manual to what you bought and find out which part of the manual is relevant to what you bought but even the current manual I have contains random images of all of their products throughout the period. Document so I have to confirm my original comment that this is not a functional guide. I hope I'm not being too critical as I have 15 years of experience managing global high tech manufacturing, but then again these quality and/or process issues are very easy to solve and Golden Wall gave the $91 back who were foisted on Revain so life succeeded.
