I'm an average player living in an apartment in the Midwest and this is the best solution for an indoor golf course for me. I struggled with my speed on the green and after a few times a week my speed improved a lot and my confidence skyrocketed. The only issue I have with this green is that after a few shots the ball will go into a temporary groove so it's better to work on putting speed than face alignment. More on that below Pros: + Easy to roll up and put in a (great) carry bag makes the girl happy + Alignment marks very helpful + Quality is top notch. I keep it in a case, which means I take it out 3-5 times a week, unfold it, put it in for 10-20 minutes and then roll it back up. My putting stance also means my feet are halfway to the mat. With all this, after a few months of such a routine, there are no signs of wear and tear. My cat even scratched it a few times when I wasn't looking and it hasn't worn off! Minus: - grooves. After 2 or 3 putts, the ball exits a groove that significantly affects the line of the ball. If you deviate slightly from the line, you will see the ball curve as it rolls back into the groove. This means I walk the mat every few layers and scrape across it with a club or foot to remove the groove. A minor inconvenience, but worth noting. Thoughts and Advice: 1) The surface you place it on matters. When I put it on the carpet it rolls slowly (about 7-8 steps if I have to guess). When I put it on hardwood in the kitchen, it rolls more like an 8-9. The claim "10 stamps" is somewhat exaggerated. 2) When I'm working on face alignment, I do a drill with a ruler (google it!). So I don't have to worry about grooves. 3) I bought a puttout press to go with my mat and it's amazing. Highly recommended.
