I probably had unrealistic expectations for the arrangement of the balloons in specific shapes/patterns based on the pictures in the product listing - airplane, bunny, etc. In the Practice is for spheres to slide against each other so they usually just form an abstract (but beautiful!) teardrop shape. It would be too time consuming (in my limited experience) to try to achieve a specific shape, especially one (like bunny ears) that requires the balls to be supported against gravity. However. It's still a fun, slightly calming desk toy, probably on par with the "Zen" sand garden, but a little tidier and easy to clean. This *is* a good strong magnetic base. Just don't expect to "sculpt" da Vinci like someone else. looks more like Picasso ;)
