I live in an old house with an original septic tank. I have resigned myself to having a plumber come and dig through the mains that lead to the septic tank every six months or a year. Either the toilet gurgled and it all went back into the shower, or my washing machine overflowed. I have been warned that I may need a major overhaul including new plumbing. After the last backup I tried that. I was pretty conservative with my water consumption for a few days after that, but everything is working fine so far. A few days after using it, I used the root removal product as there are many trees in my area. I've ordered a few more bottles of K-57 and have been using it every two weeks for the past six weeks just to be sure. After that, I plan to switch to a supporting product. Even if I use this once a month, the cost is a lot less than the main job the plumber told me to do. I would give 5 stars but it's only been a few weeks. I definitely recommend trying this product before attempting any expensive repairs.
