Review on SCOSCHE Pro MagicMount MPWD2PK-UB Magnetic Suction Cup Mount Holder for Mobile Devices - Black, Pack of 2 by James Eledge

Great cell phone holder!

I've just bought a 2010 BMW 328i station wagon - one of the latest rear wheel drive 6 speed cars. Management. Wow what a car! The only disappointment was the lack of a screen for Google Maps, Waze etc. My Android phone is great for this but I needed a quality phone mount. I tried the clamp design with air vent (EXSHOW universal smartphone holder with one-hand operation). It worked well but was terribly large and clunky when the phone wasn't in place and tended to bounce the phone around a bit on our bumpy dirt road. So I bought the SCOSCHE MPDB MagicMount Pro reviewed here. I am completely satisfied. The black and brushed aluminum finish, which you get when you upgrade to the Pro model, blends perfectly with the car's interior and is discreet when not in use. The magnetic sheet attached to my textured phone case is no problem and keeps the phone securely in place. I was hoping it would mount on a concave/vertical surface just below where it is mounted in the photos, but that didn't happen. The glue base could not overcome the laws of physics, coupled with the crumpled texture of the stroke and the curvature of this plane. I called support. As described I scraped the old adhesive off the base (easier said than done btw), attached the replacement adhesive pad, adjusted/tightened the bracket, and then pressed the base against the horizontal surface of the dashboard (no phone attached). . After really squeezing it in, I let it sit overnight. I'm happy to report after the first test drive that it works flawlessly - keeping the phone right where I want it and looking as discreet and stylish as I could wish for when not in use. Costs a few euros more than some others, but worth the money. where I want it, and looks as discreet and stylish as I could want when not in use.
