KEEN's Nxis Hiking Shoes are very nicely made with a soft, but durable, fabric upper and a dense and thick outer sole. The outer sole wraps around the front of the shoe to offer toe protection when hiking. These KEENs look and feel high quality.They also look stiff, bulky, and uncomfortable, but are the exact opposite. They fit me very nicely and have a soft and supportive innersole, and a nicely cushioned upper and tongue. They move very well and feel comfortable and supportive. They breathe nicely and don't make my feet sweat. The dense outer soles have a thick tread that grips uneven and muddy terrain nicely. The laces tighten up smoothly and quickly and have a texture that keeps them from untying. I did find the laces to be a little long, however.All in all. great hiking sneakers.
