Attention buyers, this is not a splitter, this is an extension. Yes, it can be used to split a DP signal, but you're really just duplicating your display on Windows (or any other OS) at half the bandwidth. Another review on this product page reads "I wish it could split a display at 144Hz and above." What DP 1.2 should be able to do is the problem is that this device takes the signal and splits it in half, not duplicates it. Or in other words, if you want to use this to split into two 4k displays sent in one 4k@60Hz signal, you get 4k@30Hz on each display. a displayport but that's not what I was looking for and it was advertised as a splitter not an extender.
