Works like a magic desoldering pen. It's a bit difficult to clean sometimes as it's affected by the solder. My biggest complaint, having used it for some time, is how difficult it is to "reset" the plunger to get it primed again. This makes it difficult to use with one hand (like when you're holding a soldering iron!). After using it for a while and being generally happy with its performance, I read about using this suction cup: American Beauty SS-8 3oz Solder Sucker Bulb The lamp is much better at picking up solder cleanly and quickly. I really wish I had found the lightbulb first.
