Why do all scales cost more than $20? I checked out walmart.com and target.com and was pleased that they start at $30. Well it works. as if. will give completely different numbers throughout the day. I installed it in the north (my parents do it with theirs for some weird reason, somewhat due to the earth's natural magnetism), but the most annoying thing is that it's draining batteries like crazy! My parents' 30-year-old scale only needs new batteries once a year. it's once a month. If you get this, you'll probably want to use rechargeable batteries as well
