They absorb so much product due to the cotton lining, but the silky outer layer somehow keeps it from getting onto the skin. I bought these for tonics and serums but they turned out to be expensive nail polish remover pads. They're really lint free on the outside, so I think they're better suited for gel polish than skincare given how wet these thick pads get. The small fold that you can put your fingers in when using it is very easy to tear, especially when it is soaked with the product. In addition, the cotton fibers are not retained inside, so your fingertips are covered with cotton fluff if your hand is wet during use. Can be a disaster for contact users. Overall not impressed and wouldn't buy them again although they arrived on time and I had no issues with the seller.
