Great first SLA printer.

This is my first Resin (SLA) printer. I used to have an FDM printer and it wasn't a good experience. It was difficult and didn't even come close to the level of detail I wanted. However, the Anycubic Photon Mono is a whole different story. The only things I preordered for this printer is a bottle of Anycubic Gray Resin, an Anycubic Flushing and Curing Machine, and a gallon of isopropyl alcohol. I set up the machine according to the supplied assembly instructions, leveled the tank and filled in some resin. My first print was an Anycubic test cube with default settings. It took about 4 hours, but it worked great. Details and sharpness are exceptional. The following expression is from a rook chess piece torture test .stl file found on Thingiverse. I installed the included Photon Workshop program, downloaded the STL file and cut using the default settings. I saved the new file on the supplied memory card and printed it out. It took just over an hour as the chess piece is so small, but wow! The intricate details inside and out were just amazing. After that there was a small figurine of a dachshund that was also found on Thingiverse. It had to be more difficult because the supports had to be added. I downloaded and installed the free Lychee slicer and configured it for Photon Mono. I auto-created the supports for the Dachshund using the Lychee defaults, then sliced them using the defaults copied from the Anycubic slicer I used for the chess piece. The dachshund took about 6 hours to print and was another winner. I am very happy with this printer. I only have a week and everything is going much better than I expected. No problems to report. If you're considering an SLA printer, I recommend spending a little more on a washer and curing device. This greatly simplifies the cleaning and curing process. Perhaps the only thing that worries me is the resin container that comes with it. I don't think the FEP film can be replaced on a fitted vat. The tank is made entirely of some kind of plastic. I ordered a Sovol Metal Framed Resin Tray ($20) for the Photon S as a spare and can report that it is fully compatible with the Photon Mono. There is always a replaceable FEP film in the "Sovol" tub.
