I like that it's easy to read/see the time from across the room. I like the rustic look and the birds. Gray color, rustic aging effect makes it look old and interesting. The sound is perceptible. A clear ticking can be heard many feet away. Not a clock for a bedroom or quiet room. Best for other rooms. And on the back you insert a AA carbon zinc battery (you need to insert your own battery) and then cover it with a nice snap. The back insert is plastic but nice, the rest is metal and the bezel has a plastic feel. I had some scratches on the plastic bezel, but they're not noticeable unless you look closely, so I didn't deduct points for scratches on the dial cover. Nice watch and good size
