They are great for separating laundry for better washing and to prevent it from frizzing in the washing machine. The only problem I had with these balls is that after using them in the wash, enough water remains in them and it slowly seeps out of the ball back into whatever you kept them in. getting into the bullets through a half-clogged hole or poorly sealed seams (see photo attached to this review). So you can't use them in the dryer immediately after using them in the washing machine, or your clothes will come out of the dryer with the occasional wet stain due to water being trapped in the balls and being ejected from the balls during the cycle drying. . Worst of all, there's no way to remove this water unless you poke a small hole in each bullet, which can render them useless or drastically reduce their life cycle.
