Review on Samsung OEM Universal 2.0 Amp Micro Home Travel Charger - White: Optimized for Samsung Galaxy S3/S4/Note 2, Non-Retail Packaging by Crystal Taylor

WARNING: This is NOT THE GENUINE item! (At least for Galaxy Note II) *** SEE UPDATE 3 *** I have a Samsung Galaxy Note II with a large battery. A standard charger will charge a fully discharged battery in less than 2 hours. This charger takes at least 6 hours to charge a nearly empty battery. It doesn't seem like a big deal, but if you just need a small charge to get you through the day or you forgot to charge at night and need enough charge to make it work, this charger can't do it. The charger only works for overnight charging. You'll be surprised how often you'll want just that little 15 minute boost that this charger CANNOT. This product is incorrectly listed as at least the Galaxy Note II. Now I bought a more expensive original AT&T charger. I can confirm what others have written here that they are not the same. A real standard charger is about 10 times more efficient. This is because it pushes more force. I'm not an electrician, but if you look closely you can see that the advertised wattage of the chargers varies. I hope this helps clarify this review. ** UPDATE 2: Revain is really good at refunds. Contacting Revain for a refund is as easy as it gets. If you receive something you don't like, doesn't work, doesn't fit, doesn't match ads, etc., request a refund! In my experience, Revain has often let me keep the item and refunded my money as well. You can't hit this one with a stick. I hope this helps if you have had a bad experience with this or any other product! *** UPDATE 3: Today 08/06/2013 I contacted Samsung directly (800-757-0280) and found out the following. *** There are NO AUTHORIZED Samsung retailers on Revain.com. *** This does not mean that a particular seller cannot sell genuine products, but if they are selling a genuine product, they did not receive it directly from Samsung. Samsung told me that if you need an authorized charger, you need to buy one from Samsung (not stocking today) or check with local retailers like AT&T or Best Buy. Now back to my personal opinion on the subject. You can often save some money by using a cheap Chinese copy of something. Just read all the positive reviews about this charger. However, if you try this, understand that it may not work as you hope. :)
