This scarf is super soft and warm enough for a cold California night. It's wide enough to cover your arms and it's not super long like some others I've seen in the past. It comes with a pin to hold the shawl in place but I would like the pin to attach to the shawl but that might be because some people prefer not to close the shawl and the needle therefore not use at all. The scarf will not fall by itself, but if you try to grab and pull a few strands of fur with your hand, some of them may fall into your hand. The fur doesn't get on other people's dress or clothes when you get close to them. The inside of the fur appears to be very silky. The fur is evenly trimmed and looks very clean. It is also very dense and it is difficult to see the inside of the fur. Outside of the packaging, it is truly odorless and ready to wear.
