Remove the existing screws, place the base over the switch, then use the longer screws that come with this product to stabilize the base. This worked great for 3-4 nights with our 2 and 3 year olds who have just started room sharing. They haven't even remotely tried to mess with it. A three-year-old will definitely try at some point and eventually succeed (I guess either shake the case enough to get it out or stick some kind of pencil in it to make the switch click), but I hope it takes a long time.
