We have a 2 year old and 11 month old and we need to protect the switch for our gas fireplace. First, it's insanely easy to install. Remove the existing screws, place the base over the switch, then use the longer screws that come with this product to stabilize the base. Please note that we have a dual light switch and this product works great to cover just one of the two switches. Once the base is installed, simply press down on the sides of the cover and slide into the base. It wasn't hard, but it wasn't easy either, which is good. He seems to have enough pressure to stay. Other reviewers commented that it was easy for their child (or anyone I think) to remove. At least until I found it true. I can pull it and smack it a little and it won't budge. It could be with more power, but almost everything. He's strong enough for us. Our kids haven't tried it either.
