, I work in manufacturing but spend most of the day in the lab/office. So I want steel-toe shoes that work well in the factory but also look good in meetings (and I prefer laceless shoes if I can find them). very wide " sizes. I have medium sized feet so this bothered me. However, when I dug a little deeper I found that the "extra wide" part refers to the toe and ankle area, but not to the entire boot.I usually buy shoes in a size 10-11, but since my foot is about 27.5cm at the end of the day, according to the manufacturer's size chart it fits a size 9. I bought a size 9 for fear it would would not fit too small but after wearing 12 hours a day 2 days in a row I can say they fit very well in the toe area Instead of your usual shoes I wore them outside as it rained this morning collecting most of the water and drained, they were completely dry in about an hour and had no stains, I didn't slip at all with wet soles in linoleum and this morning I carried them to the lab with no problems oratories with chemicals, the only reason I gave them 4 stars instead of 5 G What I have seen is that, as mentioned, the ankle area is quite loose. Since my boots fit me perfectly, they stay on my feet without slipping, but it would be nice to have some extra ankle support to match the mid-height look. But I have slimmer legs as a swimmer, so those who are a little taller probably have enough ankle room. Overall these are great shoes, just what I was looking for!
