I have wanted a straightener for awhile, and I got this one after my daughter got a similar one by the same seller, and she said it curled her hair really well and said it was a better straightener than her really expensive one. I figured this one was very reasonably priced and I would give it a shot. I have very fine, thin hair that is quite fragile and so I have to be incredibly careful in order to protect the hair I have. I have been very pleased with the results! I like the way the straightener feels in my hand, and the results are better than that of a curling iron. I like that I can set the temperature to lower, which is exactly what I need (and was recommended by my stylist). It DEFINITELY gives my hair more body and fullness to make it appear thicker, and I don't know if this is related to what the plates are made out of or not; I just know I have used many a hair styling appliance (including straighteners, curling irons, wands, etc.) and have never had a product that glides through my hair so easily and nicely, and this is definitely a feature worth mentioning - I just can't explain how impressed I am with the body I get from this straightener - as a person who has very fine and thin hair, this is VERY important to me! I am also very pleasantly surprised that the curl holds even overnight! When I wake up in the morning, my hair is still curled and this is something I have never had before with any other product I have used!My only slight complaint is that with the on/off button, you do have to press it pretty hard for a second or two in order to get it to turn on. Once you're aware of this, it's no big deal at all so I don't know that I would even call it a complaint, really. Just something worth mentioning. I just didn't notice it the first time I went to turn it on. Speaking of turning it on, this thing heats up SUPER, SUPER FAST. I went to get my phone so I could see how long it took to heat up and by the time I came back from the next room, it was already heated up!I really do love this straightener and my daughter was right - these are AWESOME straighteners. Would buy again!
