I got this helicopter and gave it to my friend’s 8 year old son. This was what he said about it:My son is very precise with his toys, be it building, driving, organizing and especially flying. While flying indoors we are able to keep the helicopter steady and navigate through the house with ease after only a few flights of getting used to the controls. The durability of this copter is second to none, after multiple crashes both indoors and outdoors - all pieces are intact and the flight path and controls are still true! Some of the crashes we experienced most certainly would have wrecked other flying toys, but this was not the case for this seemingly indestructible helicopter! We’re talking crashing into tall hedges and falling to the ground and hitting walls hard and nosediving to the floor. We’re both grateful to practice with this helicopter before we fly larger drones and copters as it so forgiving for new flyers.Being very lightweight, flying outside is more challenging with even a little bit of wind. Gusts are liable to send the helicopter in other directions than intended, be ready to make adjustments while outside. Large gusts of wind challenged us, but we could still land before the wind carried the little helicopter far away. The battery life is decent, we seem to get a bit more than the seven minutes flight time per full charge. We highly recommend this for those looking to get confident with their flying skills. The steadiness of flight indoors is impeccable, the maneuvers we tried so far are easy to execute, my son adores this toy and so do I. We still have more tricks to learn! The suggested age range is a little high (14+) which seems to be standard for flying toys - to error on the side of precaution. Within the instructions it suggests to not let anyone under six fly the toy - which I agree is reasonable. Last week during the first parent teacher conference of the year, my son’s teacher showed me some of his recent art creations. A self portrait in a ninja costume, some abstract inspirations, but the most memorable piece of art the teacher shared? A precise coloring of black, orange and gold, immediately I knew what my son’s latest art creation was . . . the helicopter! Sometimes the little things go a long way to create joy and balance in our lives. Most certainly this helicopter is one of these little things for us.
