Helps so far but with some design flaws

I bought this for pain in the cuboid, upper/outer part of the foot. The X-ray didn't show any breaks, so one of the tendons connecting the square bone is probably torn. Keeping the foot straight is critical to healing and this brace helped with that, but with a few caveats. Advantages: High adjustability. Thanks to all the Velcro straps and the removable wedge, it's very easy to adjust the boot to try and find a comfortable position. I say try it because the weight and bulkiness of the boot makes it very difficult to sleep comfortably, despite what the product video might say. - Durable. The plastic is definitely durable and can stand limping up and down the stairs in a two story house with hardwood floors. I never feel like it's about to break. Cons: No non-slip material on the heel. That's big. Because of the angle your foot is carrying it, I have to walk on my heel when I have to get up to go to the bathroom. The sole has a non-slip material, but the heel does not. I'll probably have to dig out some of the stickers and stick them on myself because my foot almost slipped out from under my skin a couple of times. - Not enough padding in the heel area. The guide insists you have to push the heel all the way back, but there isn't enough padding to do that. I can feel the plastic covering digging into my heel. Foot straps cannot be tightened on small feet. When I tighten the straps enough to fit snugly around my foot, especially the middle one, there is no overlap between the sides of the Velcro that stick together. This problem can be solved by tightening the appropriate Velcro over the entire strap. In general, if you have small feet, wear thick socks and tread carefully if you have a wooden floor.
