I currently have a Konica Minolta Dimage A2 camera which was and still is a great little camera that I have used on many trips. I also have a Sony A100 SLR that I use with a Sony f8/500 telephoto lens. I did a lot of research and settled on the Sony A550 as the best for the money and with new features that really take my photography to the next level. I won't repeat what others have already covered, but I refer you to the February 9, 2010 review on this page. I also highly recommend Gary Friedman's website: [.] where he has an e-book about this camera. He's a Sony camera expert and a down to earth writer who makes everything seem so easy. He helped me become a better photographer. He recommends this camera to anyone who wants to take advantage of the latest DSLR technology.
