Review on 40-inch Impact Foldable Beauty Dish by Breanna Homack

This has been a favorite for a number of years. So much so that I bought two more from Revain, one larger and one smaller. Different light qualities can be achieved by using or omitting the front diffuser. It seems pretty efficient in light output, but I use bare bulb style flashes. Be careful locking the ribs and opening opposite sides at the same time or you will stress everything around the bowl as you lock it. The oldest I have is a couple of years old and in good condition with only light signs of wear where the tips of the wands attach to the fabric. And I take it literally in some pretty unfriendly places. It folds up nicely, but it's not as super-compact as, say, a bar-and-ring softbox because of the mount. Although I seem to be able to handle it. Pretty small when open. Light enough to sit with your head on the end of the C-stand. Holds up *reasonably* well in light winds when you have a helper compared to large square boxes.
