EDIT: I like the comments triumphantly stating that the cheaper SKUs in the AMD lineup compare favorably to the 7980XE or other Intel components. Of course there is, but this review is for the 3990wx, isn't it? It's about how two chips scale in a niche with higher core performance. And for the red-clad AMD fanatics hoping to sniff out an Intel backer, keep an eye out. I have several TR2/4 class HEDT chips in my stable and am happy with them. Not enough?
