Great thing! As other reviewers have said, it takes a little practice to perfect your technique. Since I live on the 4th floor of an apartment building, I started with a sliding glass door to my practice balcony. I've found that there are three important things to do to get this to work well: Make sure you saturate the window well so your blades don't slip (which is usually due to dry spots or sometimes uneven pulls on the magnets .) you can adjust), adjust the strength of the magnets as needed and take your time. Sometimes the 2nd pass will help get rid of those streaks or stains you missed if your windows are particularly dirty (wipe down the slats in between). Also, putty helps a little with cleaning up some of the lighter streaks. As previously mentioned, when connecting the two halves of the magnetic window cleaner, space one half on the inside of the window and the other half on the outside of the window, then slide them together to avoid hitting the glass. . I actually found this gadget quite fun to use. So far it's worth the money spent. :)
