Poor quality control

I needed a faster external hard drive bay and a replacement SD and MicroSD card reader to keep everything looking perfect. No, that is not so. First you need to align the slices perfectly by manually pushing them aside to make them fit. No built-in help guides. Drive bay covers are useless as a dust cover because a permanent slot is cut in the shape of a 2.5-inch hard drive. The springs on these pointless covers put too much strain on them, requiring more strength than expected to overcome. My particular device was improperly assembled and has a hidden internal wire crossing my SD card connector, so I haven't even been able to test that connector. The MicroSD connector requires you to insert the card upside down. The power button is not logically at the top or at the back right, but at the back left. The One-Key Disk Clone button is where you'd expect the power button to be. I hope you don't accidentally destroy your data by starting the copy process when you were about to turn the device on. Also, 2 USB ports, a microSD port, and an SD card port require the device to be fully powered on to close work, not via USB-powered ports. , the base plate wasn't adjusted properly so the unit wasn't sitting straight, causing my 7200rpm hard drives to vibrate loudly. As mentioned, there are no drive guides to reduce this, nor are there rubber bumpers where the sides of the drives meet the case. Also, the actual SATA connectors that the drives connect to are way too narrow. I expect failure after a moderate number of disk swaps. On the plus side, my tested hard drives run at full SATA speeds after installation, but via USB, which is great. Windows 10 does not require a third-party schematic driver. Bottom line, it's so-so quality and quality control with a few glaring design flaws and annoyances. If you intend to put in a few hard drives and leave them, this might work for you if it works from the start. If you regularly switch drives or expect the USB and card reader ports to work without fully powering the device, this isn't for you. This equipment does not tolerate use in a computer workshop or moderate use in general. Also, the card reader ports just push in and hope for the best non-spring loaded insert/eject ports. I cannot recommend this device.
