Review on Xero Shoes TerraFlex Running Hiking Men's Shoes in Athletic by Mike Pedroza

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Know before you buy (but the feedback is positive)

The Xero Shoe website says some of their shoes run small, but the model I bought (TerraFlex) had to be adjusted to fit. I do not agree. I bought US Men's 10 but the toe box is tight on the left side. If anyone is thinking of buying this shoe I would recommend going one size larger than usual. This also means that shoes that Xero says are smaller should be ordered *two* sizes larger. Also, by design, there is no bow support. I love that this shoe is made for walking, but I wouldn't try it for running. I know Xero says padding and support are counterproductive, but I still want this protection when I'm stressed from running on my feet. Would I buy it again? Yes. In fact, I already have some casual shoes in mind. I *really* recommend the shoes - just ask before you buy.

Pros
  • Provides excellent grip on uneven surfaces
Cons
  • May not provide enough support for lateral movement
