Great microphone - especially for the price!

First of all, the microphone is awesome! I've been looking for a good but cheap microphone for a long time and came across this one. Pros: Excellent sound quality On/off switch XLR cable included Microphone holder included Price Sounds like Sm58 Cons: A bit noisy when hand held but when using a mic stand it's great. Don't come with dragons. If you want to use it with a guitar amp, you'll need an impedance transformer. This basically allows your low-impedance device (microphone) to be connected to a high-impedance input (amplifier). I linked a great cable here: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0006NMUHW/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 An XLR-QTR cable doesn't give the same great results as this one. You must select an XLR-XLR cable to use this transformer. You will not regret buying this microphone! I did not receive any of these products for free or at a discount. Update: two years later and I've evolved as a musician. Now I can say it does NOT sound as good as the more expensive SM58. However, I still like to have this mic on hand because it's a good backup, but you can also give it to the little ones so they don't touch your more expensive gear. If you only need to use the mic a few times for something like a karaoke party, this mic is for you. If you're a musician, I'd go with the standard SM58, or maybe its little brother, the SM48 (although I've never held this mic in my hands, so make an informed decision).

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing! I'll write
Cons
  • later
