Well I bought these for a three year old who is still in the realm of random potty training accidents - we wanted a pair of pants that she could easily get onto her panties . However, they are more like tights than leggings, they fit in every way - the waist, the ankles, the leg, everything is skin tight. I even went up the next size for my little one and although I had to work with a longer length, the fit was still a lot tighter than her other branded leggings. We still use her, but I don't send her to daycare and I have to remind the adults in the house to help her get dressed and undressed when she wants to go to the bathroom. However these pants are very cute and they appear to be a well tailored fit with a good balance of softness and stretch, I just wish they were a little more stretchy or roomy in their construction. Or simply advertise them as really opaque tights, one way or the other. We tried the next size up, the waist is bigger, the legs are longer, but the fit is still snug against the skin across the hip, yoke, thigh and all the way down to the ankle.
