Review on Motive Gear D30-456F Rack and Pinion: High Performance, 41-9 Teeth, 4.56 Ratio by Omar Obong

I am very happy with these gears. They're easy to install (it's my first time installing R&P) and seem to work well even with moderate off-road use. I didn't notice any difference in noise compared to the stock gearbox. Tolerances were good and tight, so the pattern and play was consistent throughout the cog, which is very reassuring for a first-time installer. The only thing I would wish is a table or something to convert the inspection depth (distance from axle centerline to gear head) marked on the gear head. to hide the difference in depth from the nominal stack (+1 -3 etc.) as used by the OEM. This would be a much easier way to set up starter pads since as a DIYer I don't own any of those fancy specialized depth probing tools and you can't rent one from an auto parts store. Otherwise I am very satisfied with my Motive Gears and would buy them again.
