I think these are good containers overall. I haven't had them long so I haven't used them often. However, they are attractive and I'm guessing they don't have a lot of plastic in them. However, I've noticed two things so far: 1) Unlike glass jars with plastic lids, you can't overfill these jars and expect the lid to still fit. It will not. There is no flexibility in the lids. Second, the lids can get a little rough and splinter. While not bad at the moment, I've already noticed some pieces appearing on the bamboo lids. I suspect it will get worse over time and with more washes. I don't recommend washing the lids in the dishwasher for this reason, and it may be important to treat them with some oil at some point to condition them a bit after drying.
