Let me start with the main downside of this product: the smell. It's incredibly fragrant and so potent that leaving it on my hair in the shower made my head hurt. This smell didn't dissipate at all when I washed the product out of my hair and it lingered even after the hair was completely dry. In fact, I couldn't get rid of it until the next time I washed my hair. It was terrible. As for the benefits of the mask, I had trouble finding it. As for the conditioner, it seemed to give the same basic results as any pharmacy conditioner—a bit of softness was all I could say. In terms of applying the color, it didn't affect my color in any way, although I left it on for a while. It's been incredibly frustrating on all levels and to be honest I'm surprised it's part of the Redken lineup. because the brand is usually much better when it comes to offering quality and effective products.
