I bought my grandson a pack of Lucky Me 100% cotton boxers for his very first pair of underwear. (Well, HE picked them here on Ebay.) And they've turned out better than any of us could have imagined. He loved her! So we sat down to select a few more sets online, including this set. I actually missed that it was a modal/cotton blend, but I'd probably still buy it to try all the Lucky stuff. Modal blends should be more flexible and user-friendly, right? After the packages were opened but before they were washed, he happened to need a pair for 30 minutes one night. Oh dear God. just no, no, no. They were so tight and sticky they fit like they were a whole size too small. He was so embarrassed he looked like he was trying to crawl out of his skin. And now we have VERY expensive disposables. OK. My friend is definitely the opposite of a bean: not fat at all, but strong and muscular. What bothered him the most was the way his legs were sitting. For him they were tight. (What little boy wants his clothes to be tight?) So if your boy is overweight, I would avoid this particular blend. On the other hand, however, I can understand why some other reviewers who have very skinny boys would find them just perfect.
