My honda crf50 had low compression. About 30 pounds per square inch. It is unlikely to start. I saw this kit and thought the price was too good to be true... and it was. Like, like, something like. Installed this kit with no problems. All screw holes are perfectly matched. The wrist pin was much thicker (had more material in it) than the stock, making the piston heavier. This is normal as it is not a sports bike. After installation I read 80 pounds cold on compression. The Honda spec says it should be 140-170. I figured after the rings were installed and things warmed up the numbers would improve significantly. I warmed up the engine by idling it at around 1000 rpm for 10-15 minutes and then letting it cool completely. On the fourth start I warmed up the engine for another 10 minutes and then unscrewed the spark plug to check the compression. 72psi. What a pity. After the break it got even worse. In general the bike has gotten better, but not what it should have been. It's ok for a kid's bike. Let's see how long this lasts.
