The noise does not come from the moving air of the fan blades but from a half-tone knocking of the motor housing, maybe due to a cheap motor bearing or due to the lack of a bearing at all? Who knows? The sound reminds me of a scooter driving by in the distance. Also only comes with a singing speed setting. The build quality is poor, which is reflected in the price. I will return and look for something better even if I have to pay more.
