Pairing with my phone after I flipped the switch was solid as it immediately found the "AB Shutter3" link. I was then able to take pictures and videos using both buttons on my Pixel3. They even have an app if you encounter any incompatibility issues. This remote uses a simple, replaceable, standard button cell battery, so it should last for many years.
