First pack. wrapped in soft foam paper. It came with two Hooks which were also in a separate bag and wrapped in bubble wrap.I've seen people complain about hanging it.I kinda see their point but in the end it really depends on what you decide to use Usage. I decided NOT to use their hooks and used a monkey hook up to 50lbs. The monkey hooks are so small you can't even see them making it appear like they are floating (just pull the hook a little out of the wall to fit both ropes.) Couch and mine height 5ft 3". It's easier if someone helps just because when I reach over to hang it the shelf falls on my shoulders (remember I'm tiptoeing on the couch) haha Definitely worth buying
