I bought two of these for our bed. The colors of the shades matched perfectly, so there were no color differences between them. I had them installed by a professional electrician so I cannot comment on the installation process. As soon as they finished, I noticed that the reading lamp was too bright; It could be a little less bright and cause less damage if my wife is trying to sleep while I'm reading. However, we thought that we could get used to this brightness. I later noticed that the reading light on my side of the bed didn't come on immediately after I flipped the switch. I thought the temperature of the electronics had something to do with it. A few days later, the reading light stopped working and wouldn't come on. The other lamp showed no defects, but this one had the same problem. The reading lamp stem appears to be a solid state device as I don't see how to replace the lamp. I couldn't find any parts for this lamp. So I guess I'll either have to buy a new set or settle for a regular reading light instead of a bright reading light.
