The product significantly darkens side views but does not produce the severe darkening that some other products provide. This eliminates a range of severely offset viewing angles such as 0 to 15 degrees from the screen plane. There was no mounting hardware in the package and I couldn't figure out how to install the product at first as it didn't come with mounting instructions without mounting hardware but included mounting instructions with two mounting options, neither of which were bundled or unsold as far as I could tell ( Mounting tabs and alternative, very thin double-sided translucent tape.) However, after the product was temporarily taped over the laptop's built-in camera with a sticky note, the product effectively stuck just enough to stay in place without a sticker. A combination of surface tension and static cling keeps the screen in place. Very smart.
