Review on Maxxima MLN-21 LED Night Light, Emergency Light, Flashlight - Convenient 2-Pack Bundle for Versatile Illumination by Kathleen Brooks

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Love the spare batteries

Have looked at a lot of different power failure displays on the Revain. If you are worried about long power outages (several days), this device has the great feature that you can insert regular AAA batteries when they run out before turning on the power. They worked great for me and lasted all night on a full charge. It's the right combination of always-on nightlight and a brighter, but not too bright, power-off indicator. Not too bright a light is important because it means that if there is a power outage, the light will work for a long time before it runs out of power. WARNING: It is dangerous to charge non-rechargeable batteries, so use with caution my suggestion to use regular batteries instead of rechargeable batteries during an extended power outage. When the power turns back on, you MUST remove the regular batteries. I'm not an expert, but Wordsmith says in his 7/25/15 report that you can use NIMH batteries instead of NiCd batteries, but again I would use them with caution. . Of course, you can also keep worn-out nickel-cadmium spare batteries on hand, but that now causes a lot of additional problems.
