Love the spare batteries

Have looked at a lot of different power failure displays on the Revain. If you are worried about long power outages (several days), this device has the great feature that you can insert regular AAA batteries when they run out before turning on the power. They worked great for me and lasted all night on a full charge. It's the right combination of always-on nightlight and a brighter, but not too bright, power-off indicator. Not too bright a light is important because it means that if there is a…

A good night light at a price of

I bought a pair of such lamps and in general I liked them. Particularly happy with the price. As already mentioned, it does not have an emergency light function. In other words, the night light will not turn on automatically in the event of a power outage. There are two ways to mitigate this: 1) Set the flashlight switch to the "on" position. Once plugged into an outlet, the flashlight will remain off until the power is turned off. However, you will lose the night light function 2) Change the…

The only drawback: Each night light consumes 3 NiCd AAA

After buying two sets (two sets of 2 packs), I am writing a review. This is a good product when you receive a package that hasn't been on the shelf yet. Each night light requires 3 AAA nickel cadmium batteries. I emphasize the use of nickel-cadmium batteries for two reasons. The first reason is that these batteries have a limited lifespan and are almost unstocked in a retail store (you can buy them at your local Battery+ store, but otherwise you have to buy them online). NiCad batteries must…

Cheap, basic but does the job!

Ordered these as there have been severe storms in the area. I wanted to replace the night light in the lobby with one that would also double as an emergency light in the event of a power outage. The fact that it's also a rechargeable flashlight was a bonus! The twilight indicator works great. It stays on for less time than the old night light, which is good. This is a good brightness for a night light, not too bright but enough for seeing. The plug feels a bit flimsy, but I don't plan on using…

A few differences from the previous version of this product

This model is the successor of the MLN-20 product and there are several differences. I'll check out the newer MLN-21 first. It works as a photosensitive night light that turns on in the dark and off in the light. This feature cannot be disabled. It's fairly bright, but you can dim it if it bothers you. When you flip the switch to the ON position, it also works as an emergency light - the built-in LED flashlight turns on in the event of a power failure. These functions work perfectly for me in…
