The wireless transmitter and receiver were already paired so all you have to do is plug in and turn on the device to get it working. It has a green light to indicate if pairing was successful. I use a Spark with my amp and so far it's working well and the battery life is as advertised. You may have to turn the volume on the guitar higher than normal to get the tone through. The transmitter is compact so you won't notice it when plugged into the car and won't affect the weight. I wish it came with a carrying case so I can store it or take it with me.
