FIX: Fan whistling at lowest (1) setting. This is the quiet mode I liked when watching TV. It still seems to blow normally but the noise is annoying and I've had this fan for less than a month. hope it lasts I downgraded the star rating from 5 stars to 2 because I really don't think this fan should make bearing noise that quickly. This squirrel cage fan (trade term) arrived well packaged and upon opening the box I am at first dubious that it lives up to the reviews posted here on Revain. Setting up this little guy couldn't be easier, nothing breaks just a simple 3 position switch and 10 foot power cord. At top speed it outputs 600 cfm in a very direct manner. I use this setup in my frame house in Florida to move conditioned air from the coolest room in my house (living room) into the kitchen and office, which are chronically warmer than the rest of the house. In return, this mighty dwarf offers amazing performance. Much better than my 20" Lasko pedestal fan. On its lowest setting, this fan is very quiet - slightly more noise than you would hear from a standard AC duct. It does, however, move directional air around the room like a champ! Great for watching TV in a refreshing breeze or in my bedroom at night (hot sleeper). Overall, I'm very impressed with this sturdy yet light and simple little fan, easy to move around! Might even buy another one! Highly recommended!
