This scarf is big, beautiful and warm. I love colors! It's perfect for the coldest days. It is very soft and beautifully finished. This is a "matte" material; it almost resembles felt. So it is not sewn or connected. There is a fringe at the ends, which is also the material for the brush. I'm not sure if he "shrugs off" over time. The label says "dry clean only". It's odorless (I'm moderately sensitive to smells). For me, this scarf is made for walking around here in the Boston area on the coldest days. It's a very cozy feeling. It's warmer and more durable than any other scarf I own!
