The stool was delivered without legs. Each leg required the installation of two long bolts to hold the legs in place at the corners. The screw holes lined up perfectly in two corners, but the other two were slightly misaligned. I had to work hard to tighten the bolts but once in they went in and held tight. Each bolt has a steel washer and steel lock washer so they must stay in place after installation. The corner piece, on which the bolts for attaching the leg to the table are attached, is firmly fixed in the inside corners of the top. My photo shows how each corner brace is held in place by four screws - two on each side of the top. The leather look upper is quite nice and looks much better than polyurethane (PU) leather. It looks great and feels like it can handle the stretch that comes with the footrest. The finishing gives the assembled stool a high quality look. There was a small spot where the stain and finish didn't camouflage well. One of my photos shows a close-up of the spot. It's minor and not in a range that would be visible to most. The assembled stool is absolutely durable. It's light enough to pick up and move when needed, but heavy enough to stay in place when used as intended. All in all I highly recommend this ladder if it suits your decor.
